We rounded off the 2023 festival season in style at Radio 2 in the Park. Held on 16th – 17th September at Leicester’s Victoria Park, artists taking to the stage included Kylie Minogue, Pretenders, Tears for Fears, Jessie Ware, Lemar and Sam Ryder.
As you would expect with a Festival Republic and BBC event, sustainability was high on the agenda and we worked closely with the event’s production team to design menus that met their objectives. We didn’t use red meat or other high-carbon footprint foods in any of the dishes that we served and we utilised a system for measuring the carbon footprint of all main courses which was then listed on our menu boards alongside each meal. That way people could make informed choices about the dishes that they chose.
Our fabulous crew onsite included Lyn Smith, Nick Jones, Blaise Vasseur and Sammie Argyle who did a fantastic job looking after the crew, production team and artists. Whilst Olivia Morris and Lacey Bonham ensured that the event was meticulously planned from our HQ in Aston Clinton.
“Just wanted to say a personal thanks – I had new staff on during this event and they all commented on how amazing the catering was :). Have to say, Duck night was my own highlight! Anyway, I’ve come away heavier despite 30000 steps a day so consider me happy :).”
